A confirmation SMS will be sent to you once you are selected. You can also check the details on your Freeboh diary. Alternatively, the business may choose to call you directly as well.

*Please do not contact businesses by replying the notification SMS as they are auto notifications sending from Freeboh.

I just received an interview request! How do I reply?

Businesses may request for an interview before accepting your bids. Upon receiving the request, login to your Freeboh account and confirm the interview. Interviews are not considered as confirmed until you respond to them.

To reply, go to your ‘Diary’ and click on the interview slot on your calendar (the date will be stated in your SMS and Freeboh mail). Select ‘Respond’ to select your interview time. If none of the provided time slots fits your schedule, contact the business via Freeboh mail or by call to rearrange the interview. Do note that a no-show for an interview can also lead to a bad rating on your profile.

How do I remove a bid?

We don’t usually encourage withdrawal in bids. However, there might be special circumstances in which you have to withdraw your bid.

In this case, first go to your Diary. In the “Upcoming Schedule” section, look for “Pending Tasks”. Next, click on the shift you wish to withdraw and select “Withdraw Bid” in the pop-out window.

What should I do if I cannot turn up for a confirmed shift?

If you wish to withdraw from a confirmed bid, please contact the business directly via message and/or phone call. Inform them of your reason and kindly ask them to remove your shift.

You can find their contact details under the shift details in your diary page. Do inform them as early as possible, to give them a heads-up and buffer time to search for replacement. Remember, a no-show without any notification in advance will result in a bad rating and will be reflected on your profile! ☹

About Bidding

I saw a listing on Freeboh previously. Why is it no longer available?

Listings will be hidden if businesses no longer need to hire new staffs or the position is no longer available. However, if you are one of the business’s regular staff, you may check with your employer for access to their privatized listing (if applicable).

Is there an age limit for the jobs?

In general, you are allowed to work if you are at the legal working age. However, this condition may vary. Certain positions may have specific age requirements (e.g. must be at least 18 and above to handle alcohol), while some may welcome applicants as young as 14 years old. If you are unsure, do leave an enquiry to the business.

Can we choose our own shifts? Is there a minimum commitment period for the jobs?

Freeboh aims to be a shift-based job marketplace, allowing jobseekers to work in their own flexible time and allow scalability for businesses. Hence, Freeboh shift timers can indicate their availability to work based on their specific timings.

However, please note that not all jobs are ad-hoc or event jobs. Depending on the business, they may only accept applicants that can work with them for a longer period of time.

Are there any full-time or permanent part-time jobs on Freeboh?

Yes, you can check the job description or position title of the listings. It will tell you if they are looking for full-time or permanent part-time positions. For some part-time positions, the business may also be open to full-timers. so you can always leave an enquiry.

Why is the work hour in red when I try to bid for shifts?

Try to look for a remark in red on the listing that states the minimum commitment requirement. This means that this particular position requires you to work for certain minimum hours, and your bids will not be processed if this requirement is not met.

Can I bid for different companies for the same shift/time slot?

Yes! It is encouraged for shift-timers to bid for multiple jobs, even if they have the same or overlapping timeslots. All you have to do is to make sure to withdraw the overlapping bids once you receive a confirmation from one business. Failing to do so may lead to a no-show rating from businesses, so do take note!
